Just in case you’re trying to get your head around why Discord isn’t working for you, find solace in the fact that you aren’t the only one facing issues lately.

A quick look at micro-blogging site Twitter conveys there are many affected by the same issue wherein Discord is stuck on checking for updates. For a quick glance, here’s how some of the complainants word the problem:

Down detector – a popular service that gives information about live outages – also conveys that Discord is indeed going through a glitch in some regions.

User reports indicate Discord is having problems since 3:35 AM EDT. http://downdetector.com/status/discord/ RT if you’re also having problems #discorddown

Any official word on the matter? Negative, as yet. We’re yet to locate a word from the official service channels or their social media handles.

IST 13:30 pm: Reports coming in now indicate that Discord is down. Downdetector has seen a massive spike in reports from users over the past hour.

IST 03:51 pm: Earlier today many individuals seemed to have been unable to use the search feature in Discord. However, it appears that things have returned to normal as reports indicating a problem have trickled down to nil.

@discord This really annoys me, as whenever this appears, I can’t get out of it & the Search Function to search for the Texts, Links, etc. on any Server that I join and/or own automatically become unavailable. (Source)
