Entire @chase @ChaseSupport system is down apps, ATMs, merchant access, & online. Customer service says system maintenance. No time on restoration. #chasedown

After the catastrophic Wells Fargo outage and more recently the ING Australia outage, now it’s coming to light that Chase Bank servers are down.
Here are some reports:

Even cards are not working for some:

We can at least access the bank’s website, so it’s possible only a set of users are facing this problem.
For it’s part, Chase hasn’t said anything on this reported outage – not at least through it’s official social media channels. Ironically, this outage comes on the day when it came to light that JP Morgan, which owns Chase Bank, has started rolling out JPM Coin, which the first US bank-backed cryptocurrency.
Coming back to the outage, we are keeping a close watch, and will update the story as and when we have more newsworthy stuff on the matter. Until then, use the comments section below to let us know your current experience with Chase Bank.
Update 1
Chase customer care is telling some customers it’s scheduled maintenance, but no ETA for when the system will be up.
Update 2
Looks like this is Chase’s Wells Fargo-style outage day:

https://twitter.com/exuct78/status/1096632324559491072
Update 3
Chase has acknowledged the issue:
We know some customers are having trouble accessing the mobile app and our website. We want to let you know that we are working on it. Thank you for your patience

Update 4
We are now seeing reports about spam text messages claiming to be from Chase bank. Customers doubt of a fraud and are sharing their experiences online. Here are a few reports:

Update 5
Looks like Chase customer support is giving contrasting information. Earlier we highlighted how some users are being told it’s a planned outage. But now this:

Update 6
Here’s a user-shared workaround to see account details and transactions:
If you have the Chase pay app set up, you can see your accounts and transactions.

Try it out and let us know if it works for you.
Update 7
Lack of frequent updates from the bank over this outage is resulting in people turning to their favorite ‘hacked’ speculation in times like these:

https://twitter.com/designrvb/status/1096619135109394433
Update 8
It’s been over 5 hours since this outage began, and Chase has only offered one update. Of course, customers aren’t happy:

https://twitter.com/RafaQuintero16/status/1096663488422920192
Update 9
If you go by what Chase customer care support told a customer (report below), things seems to be quite messed up at the bank’s IT division at the moment.
I just got on the phone with them after legit 30 mins and they were just like “sorry… the whole online system is down… we don’t have a specific timeframe for when it will be fixed” bruh they messed up baddddd
