AskMadhav Episode 13; Realme fitness band to come out in first half 2020 & X2 Pro cheaper edition launched

You don’t have to spend a fortune to buy a smartphone today and the credit goes to so-called value for money Chinese manufacturers. Xiaomi did pave this path by maximising specs to price ratio on their devices.

Then came Realme, with the same strategy to capture the market. And, the Oppo spinoff succeeded in increasing the sales numbers despite jumping on another OEM’s bandwagon. They even stepped into mid-range flagship arena with Realme X2 Pro in October.

Every month, the CEO of Realme India takes selected questions from the users and answers them via a YouTube series called AskMadhav. In the last episode, he revealed their plans to release a 108-MP camera phone in the near future.

Yesterday, the thirteenth and the last iteration of this year has gone live. He started off by speaking about Realme X2, Buds Air, and the newly launched Realme Paisa. Not only that, he even showed their interest to build an entire ecosystem.

Getting into the crux of the matter, Madhav said the company would release the much anticipated fitness band in the first half of 2020. We can also combine this to another question, to which he answered VOOC enabled power banks are in the product roadmap.

He didn’t confirm their intent to release speakers and other accessories, though. However, it has become clear that they would come up with a flash tool and eliminate fingerprint glitch on unlocking the boot loader of Realme XT.

Alongside that, Realme XT users also got another reason to rejoice because the CEO has confirmed the arrival of Dolby Atmos support for Bluetooth headphones with Android 10 update. But, when is it going to go live? He didn’t leave any clues on that.

The CEO of the brand answered another significant question, which many users have been asking since long. When will realme devices get internal audio for screen recording? Going by his response, the feature could have been gone live with the last OTA, but got postponed due to bugs.

In case you happen to be using an old Realme phone (Realme 1/2/U1/C1), it’s time to bid adieu to major OS overhauls. As you might have already heard, they are not going to push Android 10 update to any of these handsets, even so there is a chance to bag both side swipe gestures.

At the end of the video, Madhav launched two new colours (Red Brick and Concrete) of Realme X2 Pro Master Edition. They will only go sale as 12/256 GB versions. Along with that, he unveiled the cheapest variant (6/64 GB) of the same too.
