Apple iPhone 8 was launched back in September 2017. To be honest, the phone feels pretty old school, but Apple has other plans it seems. If reports are to be believed, Apple could very well revive the phone in early 2020 with some upgrades.
The iPhone SE 2 though having a similar design as to iPhone 8, will feature the latest A13 Bionic Chipset along with 3 GB ram. This is a considerable upgrade over the iPhone 8’s A11 Bionic chipset and 2 GB RAM. The info about iPhone SE 2 came from long-time Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
As claimed by Apple, A13 is fastest ever CPU for smartphones being built. Apple claims A13 Chipset also has the fastest GPU compared to the other competitors. The most surprising aspect is the battery. Apple seem to have made the most battery efficient Chipset with 40 percent efficiency, the maximum ever achieved.
As per reports, the Apple SE 2 is to target the customer base who are still to upgrade from iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. The phones don’t have the latest version iOS 13 and the users of iPhone 6 family are pretty content with the Touch ID.
They are not so much intrigued with features like Face Id and multiple rear camera. That being said, the iPhone SE 2 will most likely incorporate the physical touch button, since it is based on the same design and near about same specifications of iPhone 8.
For a refresher, the iPhone 8 was launched with Retina HD display, 4.7-inch (diagonal) widescreen LCD Multi-Touch display with IPS technology, 1334-by-750-pixel resolution at 326 ppi and 1400:1 contrast ratio.
And as already mentioned, it has a A11 Bionic Chip Neural Engine and a single camera back shooter of 12MP, Wide: ƒ/1.8 aperture and Digital zoom up to 5x. The front camera is a decent 7MP camera of ƒ/2.2 aperture that can shoot 1080p HD videos at 30 fps, accompanied with Retina Flash.
The iPhone SE 2 is believed to be priced competitively at a considerable lower price than iPhone 11 pro and iPhone 11 pro max integrated with A13 Bionic chipset. Not to miss, the users will however be able to experience the same CPU at a lower price in iPhone SE 2.
