We got this 🙌 pic.twitter.com/VkMPwJo9GI
You may not know that Instagram has now started notifying users if somebody takes a screenshot of their pictures, and/or the social network has allegedly started deleting fan pages.
But, if you are an Instagram user or are into social media platforms in general, you’d likely know a picture of an egg recently became the most liked photo on Instagram. With over 37 million likes and counting, the egg picture has replaced the image of Kylie Jenner’s birth announcement (which is at under 19 million likes at the moment).
Here’s the Kylie Jenner’s birth announcement Instagram post:

Just in case you haven’t seen it already, here’s the new Instagram king, the egg:

Yes, as you can see, it’s just a normal looking egg. Nothing special about it. Curiously, there’s nothing known about the Instagram account which posted this picture, as well as the person operating that account and their motive/aim behind creating such a world record.
Here are some of the other messages posted by the Instagram account:
What a time to be alive
it doesn’t end here
we’re only just getting started
Meanwhile, it does look like this Instagram egg has inspired a Twitter egg, which now wants to become the most retweeted tweet on Twitter.

We got this ?
While the image may look exactly the same, this Twitter account is not affiliated with the Instagram egg account – at least their Twitter bio claims so. Here’s what their bio exactly says:
Let’s get this egg the most retweeted tweet on Twitter. It IS possible. All we have to do is retweet it ? Not affiliated w/ the Insta egg [email protected]
This egg tweet has been retweeted around 475k times until now. Given that the record they are aiming for is 5.3 million, it does look like the journey won’t be easy for the Twitter egg. However, given that an egg already managed to do this on Instagram, so we’d surely keep a close watch on the Twitter egg.
In case you want to know about the current retweet record holder on Twitter, he is a Japanese businessman who managed to get over 5 million retweets after promising to give $9,250 to 100 random Twitter users who retweeted him.
