Amazon Prime Video is one of the largest video streaming services on the planet. Launched in 2006 and owned by Amazon Inc., the video-on-demand service made its global debut in 2016.
Ever since Prime Video went global, the platform has witnessed unprecedented growth. Like Netflix and Disney Plus, Amazon Prime Video is a subscription-based service.
However, people who have Amazon Prime also get access to Prime Video as part of the package. Recently, some Google Chromebook owners complained that they get error 7325 when trying to watch any content on Prime Video.
And now, it seems that an existing issue has resurfaced. According to reports, Prime Video subscribers are experiencing an issue with the app not working on their Smart TV units.
Since the reports are coming from people who own different models and different brands of smart TVs, it looks like the problem is widespread and affecting a wide range of TV owners.
Users say that whenever they try to watch something on the Amazon Prime Video app, they are getting a ‘Something went wrong’ error.
I use an app on an LG TV that I have had for a few years. Just within the last week or so I’m getting a spinning wheel every couple of seconds when using the Prime Video app. Please help! I have unplugged the tv, the modem, the router and waited 60 seconds and restarted them, tv last.
I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app on the LG TV. I’m still getting the spinning wheel every couple of seconds. BTW, when I watch Prime Video on my computer with Safari it works perfectly.

For almost a week now, my Samsung SmartTV won’t play Amazon titles. Error message “Something went wrong, try again later”. All other streaming services working fine, internet connection intact, other devices are fine – only Amazon Prime Video won’t play

People also report that the link that guides them to troubleshooting steps does not fix the problem.
While we can not say anything for sure, considering the number of people who have reported the issue, it looks like something is broken on Amazon’s end. Maybe Amazon pushed a buggy app update probably resulted in the Prime Video app not working on several Smart TV models.
We will update this article once more information is available, so make sure you keep an eye out.
