Just in case you’re trying to get your head around why Virgin Media broadband and TV isn’t working for you, find solace in the fact that you aren’t the only one facing issues lately.
A quick look at micro-blogging site Twitter conveys there are many other affected by the same issue. As per reports, while some say the service isn’t working or broken for them, for others it throws an error or notification stating – “Sorry, we have a problem“.
For a quick glance, here’s how some of the complainants word the problem:

Is the Service Down – a popular service that gives information about live outages – also conveys that Virgin Media is indeed going through a glitch in the UK as can be seen in the image below:
This further suggests that a lot of subscribers are affected, while a fix for the same is still awaited. Also, it is unclear what the actual cause of this outage is but it sure is causing a lot of inconvenience.
Any official word on the matter? Negative, as yet. We’re yet to locate a word from the official service channels or their social media handles.

Update 2 (July 15)
Many users have stormed Twitter to complain that their Virigin Media broadband or Wi-Fi has stopped working in London. The company is yet to confim an outage in the region.
Update 3 (July 16)
While users continue to complain about the Internet, Virgin Media has acknowledged an area-specific issue. Here’s what they say:
We are aware of an incident which has damaged some of our underground cables and is causing a loss of services for some customers in the Lewisham area. Our engineers are on site and are working to restore services as quickly as possible.
Update 4 (August 18)
It seems that Virgin Media TV subscribers are facing issues with the service as many have taken to Twitter to seek an official response on the matter. Reports suggest users are seeing the ‘error 503’ message while trying to view content on it.
The company — via Twitter — confirmed that the issue is mainly impacting laptops/PCs but is working on Android and iOS.

Update 5 (August 23)
Some Virgin Media subscribers have been facing issues with the service for a few days. The company’s support team has once again confirmed that they’re aware of an issue affecting multiple households.
