COD: Mobile Ghost - Retribution skin not looking high quality? Activision likely to bring improvements in a future update

The COD: Mobile Season 5 introduced a new Battle Pass, three new maps, an all-new functional weapon, an Operator Skill, and of course, the Legendary Ghost skin. It went live back on June 28.

For the uninitiated, Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley is a British special forces operator, and a prominent member of Task Force 141, known for his iconic skull-patterned balaclava, headset, and dark red sunglasses.

The character has appeared as the protagonist in multiple COD games including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 2: Ghost, Call of Duty: Online, Find Makarov: Operation Kingfish, Call of Duty: Heroes, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered.

However, many COD Mobile players have complained about the new Ghost – Retribution skin not doing justice to Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley due to its ‘low quality’ appearance.

Ghost Retribution: I still see people says that this skin looks like a mediocre epic skin which is not worth spending money on and some people have already made memes about how it can’t be compared to the previous two legendary characters.

3 things that needs to be done with the Legendary Ghost:
1. Improve some of the ui/ux of the skin.
2. Recolor the lootbox to make it stand out from the default lootbox.
3. Most importantly, put back its own voice along with its unique voicelines.

The said low quality is due to something missing on the skin, as per players. On top of that, many have even questioned the skin’s legendary status saying that it looks like a mediocre epic skin not worth spending money on.

This is because the skin lacks a voice and is missing some crucial components that complete the OG Riley look including glasses, jawbone cape, dark vision hood, tactical helmet, night vision goggles, and some cloth behind his legs.

Some have also demanded the recoloration of the loot box associated with the character to make it stand out from the default loot box.

Thankfully, COD_Mobile_Official on Reddit has now acknowledged the complaints associated with the COD Mobile Ghost – Retribution skin saying that they’ll check in on that with the team.

A definite nod for improvements to the skin wasn’t given but, hey, at least CODM is considering it.

If all goes well, and COD actually decides to tweak the skin, then we should be seeing an upgraded Riley with a future update.
