Here’s the crux of the article in video form:
New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on June 19, 2021) follows:
Samsung surprised just about everyone invested in this space with the quick rollout of Android 11 to eligible devices from its massive portfolio.
Matter of fact, the South Korean firm has been sending out the monthly security patches to its smartphones every faster than Google in some cases.
And thanks to Samsung’s new update policy of 3 major OS updates for a majority of its phones, there’s a long list of devices inline to receive the update to Android 12 that should bring its One UI 4.0 skin to the likes of the Galaxy S21 series and many others.
As usual, the company didn’t join hands with Google to release the Android 12 beta for its flagship smartphones.
This is something Samsung should work on for future OS updates considering the fact that most other Android vendors such as OnePlus, Xiaomi, and iQOO have also rolled out the Android 12 beta update for their smartphones alongside Google.
That said, Samsung fans do have something to get excited about since new developments indicate that the company has begun the development of Android 12 for the Galaxy S21 series.
The information was shared by Max Weinbach — on Twitter — who has an excellent track record with Samsung-related leaks and rumors.
Now that Samsung has allegedly kick-started the development of Android 12 for the Galaxy S21 series, it’s likely that we may see the company begin the beta program sooner than last year, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
However, that isn’t the only good news for Samsung Galaxy S21 users since a recent test build indicates that the company might be testing the One UI 3.5 update for the series as well.
The new build — BUFB — was spotted on June 17 on the CheckFirm app and is supposed to be a major One UI update as the latest official firmware bears the build number AUF6.
It isn’t immediately clear when Samsung will release the One UI 3.5 update. However, based on past trends we can expect it to debut with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3.
Having said that, you can keep an eye on our dedicated trackers for the One UI 4.0 and One UI 3.5 updates to know more about the availability of the upcoming skins from Samsung.
