New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…

Original story (published on April 23, 2021) follows:

Xiaomi doesn’t seem to be done with MIUI 12 just yet even with MIUI 12.5 development in full swing. This is pretty clear from the fact that the Mi Stable Testers program for MIUI 12 is still going strong.

This does make sense though considering that most of the MIUI 12.5-eligible devices are set to receive the update sometime in the May-June period in China. Global releases may take a month or two longer.

There are also several devices that have still not bagged Android 11. A good example of this is the Redmi Note 9 series that has seen continual delays for the update. Such devices are especially suitable for the program.

Anyway, the Mi Stable Testers program was first launched back in early February and has since seen several devices added under its umbrella along with several restarts.

And being launched in February meant that the program missed out on more recent releases like the Mi 11 series and the Redmi Note 10 series. But that has changed as Xiaomi is now looking to recruit testers for a second batch.

This second Mi Stable Testers batch is comprised up of two devices – the Redmi Note 10 and Mi 11 Lite. Supported regions are Global, India, Europe, Russia, and Indonesia.

Redmi Note 10 (MI, EU, RU, ID)
Mi 11 Lite (MI, EU, RU, ID)

It has not been mentioned if the Mi 11 Lite in question is the 5G or the 4G variant but it is safe to assume that it’s the 4G one. The 5G one may also be included with a future batch.

Do note that Xiaomi does not send any recruitment notices after application. But updates and other information is provided when available on the Mi Global Community Telegram channel.

Also, ensure that your device (Redmi Note 10/Mi 11 Lite) is on the MIUI Global Stable ROM during the application or you will not receive the OTA update for the Testers build.

If you have met the prerequisites, then feel free to submit your application through this link.
