New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…
Original story (published on May 14, 2021) follows:
Hulu is one of most used subscription video on demand service but it seems subscribers are having a tough time with it.
There are several issues that Hulu subscribers have been facing with the VOD serivce lately. These include the constant buffering on Amazon Fire TV, loud commercials, Hulu not casting to Chromecast, and the app rewinds programs.
While Hulu is working to resolve some of the said issues, there is no ETA on how long it will take to fix them.
Now, it seems that there is another issue that subscribers are facing with the Disney owned video on demand service.
As per recent reports, Hulu subscribers are facing an issue where shows/episodes are starting at the end.
Why does Hulu always start shows with 2 min left
Source
It appears that this is happening as subscribers are watching a series or content again. This might explain why shows on Hulu are starting at the end.
However, multiple reports suggest that Hulu subscribers are facing a lot of inconvenience because of this.
Subscribers may not have to dwell with this for too long as the VOD service provider has acknowledged the issue.
As per the official Hulu Support Twitter handle, they are aware of the said issue due to multiple subscribers reporting about it.
Also, a fix for the shows staring at the end issue is being looked into. However, just like many other issues with the VOD service, it is unclear clear how long it will take to fix this one.
In the meantime, users can remove the shows or programs they are watching again from their watch history to get rid of the said problem.
Hopefully, the VOD service provider resolves all such issues soon as no one likes to pay for a service with so many problems.
That said, we will be back with more details as and when new information becomes available so stay tuned.
Update 1 (July 02)
IST 20:20 pm: It seems users are still facing the issue where shows/episodes are skipping half way through in between the next one. Also, Hulu is still working to fix this issue with no ETA for the same.
