New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…
Original story (published on March 05, 2021) follows:
Following the announcement of Poco as an independent brand, Poco has rushed to prove that they are truly independent. The brand’s products are no longer listed on the Xiaomi store site and they have even built a separate community.
Both sites — the Poco Community and the Poco store — seem to be in their budding stages currently due to the fact that they lack polish. However, they’re undergoing development as we speak.
Poco recently even held a QnA session where they took feedback from users for their new community site and even gave a hint of the features that users can expect in the near future.
But with no mobile support on either of the two sites even months after release, there is still a lot left to be desired. But at least there is now an alternative available for the Poco store site.
It comes in the form of a new dedicated Poco Store app.
The app’s layout isn’t too different from the existing Mi Store app but it sure does look way prettier with its dark theme coupled with Poco’s signature yellow as the accent color.
Now, it hasn’t really been made available in all regions as it’s still in its infancy. But from what we could make out, the app appears pretty polished and sophisticated. Hence, it should roll out in other regions soon too.
Currently, the Poco Store app is only available in four languages and regions namely Spain, France, Indonesia, and Italy.
A bit odd that they didn’t launch it in India yet where they very well have the greatest fan following. But hey, it should make it real soon.
Anyway, if you happen to reside in one of the supported regions, then you would want to try the Poco Store app out through this download link. Do keep in mind though that it is the very initial version and hence, bugs can be expected.
With that being said, be sure to keep an eye on our dedicated Poco Android 11 update tracker to stay in the loop.
Update 1 (March 26)
