Following the ban on Xiaomi Community by the Indian government, Poco has hastened to build a dedicated community for its fans so that they don’t miss out on new stuff.

This was much needed as the company had announced a while back that they were going independent from Xiaomi following their huge success.

Poco also claimed that it has now entered 35+ countries across the globe and sold over 6 million units of smartphones.

A greater part of this achievement can be attributed to their extremely value-for-money and popular Poco F1. The device sort of introduced Poco to the world as it was the company’s very first offering.

Depending on where you lived, the phone was referred to as either the Poco F1 or Pocophone F1 and it managed to sell over 2 million units.

Subsequently, Poco diversified its lineup by offering a range of new entry-level as well as mid-range devices.

And if all this isn’t enough of a reason for Poco to create a community of its own, then I don’t know what is.

That said, their new community website launched last month hasn’t been short of issues. For example, we previously highlighted that the site’s mobile-view is a complete mess.

As a result, Poco acknowledged their site’s shortcomings and recently held a feedback session to improve on existing bugs and issues as well as add new important features.

As this is the very first version of POCO Community, you may have encountered various problems in the process of using this website. Welcome to leave the bugs you found in the comments section, and our product managers will keep an eye on it. If you have any suggestions for POCO Community, feel free to leave your comments too!

Following this, a bunch of users voiced a list of features that they felt should be added. And several of these requests got accepted as well.

Some noteworthy mentions are a dedicated mobile version, forum search function, notifications module, profile information view, and the like.

Q. It would be of great help if there was a notification banner or icon near the user‘s name that would inform us if we have a new comment. By selecting that notification it would take us to that thread.

Q. If you open this site on a mobile the page doesn‘t fit the screen. I would love to see a mobile app on the play store for this community.

Apart from this, other mention-worthy accepted feature requests were text toolbox for comments, YouTube embeds support, and a bigger comment word count.

Again, the community is only in its infancy and it shouldn’t be long before most of these features are added.

Moreover, the Poco team is allegedly already working on a mobile app for the site which should automatically eliminate most of the above issues.
