Xiaomi has been constantly developing the MIUI 12 beta updates based on Android 10 and Android 11 in the home-country.

While there are a lot of changes that these updates have to offer, they are currently limited to Xiaomi’s beta testing program members.

Now, Xiaomi has released two new MIUI 12 closed beta updates in China with redesigned user interfaces for multiple sections in device settings.

The update versions 20.10.26 and 20.10.27 bring along new Do Not Disturb UI, Use USB for UI, Accounts & sync UI, and Manage Keyboards UI.

While the Use USB for UI had been enabled for Android 11 running devices since the update to version 20.10.12, it has now been enabled on devices running Android 10.

It’s worth noting that some changes are OS-specific, meaning having MIUI 12 doesn’t give you a direct ticket to all of them. Some will trickle down to Android 10 devices while others will remain on Android 11.

However, the OEM has not made any official announcements on when these changes will make their way to the stable MIUI builds.

So, those on the stable builds will have to wait for some time before they can get their hands on the redesigned user interfaces.

There are several Xiaomi devices that are yet to get the latest custom skin but it is unclear whether they will get the latest changes along with the MIUI 12 update.

Moreover, these beta updates are limited to China and all new changes will first be made available on the Chinese stable ROM before they make their way to the global ROMs.

Nevertheless, it is still good to see that the OEM is steadily improving the user experience while also developing its custom skin on top of the latest OS update i.e. Android 11.
