Xiaomi’s new skin on top of Android, MIUI 12, is steadily rolling out to more and more eligible devices. We have a MIUI 12 tracker dedicated to keeping tabs on this rollout.
Poco F2 Pro is the exact same device as the Redmi K30 Pro which is sold in China. It is a remarkable device. Poco F2 Pro continues in the steps of the brand pioneer, the Poco F1, by spotting Qualcomm’s latest flagship chip, the Snapdragon 865, ample RAM and storage, all at under $500.
As more and more Xiaomi users continue to fizzle with anticipation for MIUI 12 for their respective devices, the pressure is mounting on Xiaomi to oblige and roll out these updates to eligible devices.
Of course, Xiaomi has a plan on how it intends to roll out MIUI 12 and that has been outlined in the company’s roadmap to MIUI 12, more on that here. Today, users of the Poco F2 Pro have something to look forward to as the company has just confirmed some much welcome news on the state of MIUI 12 for their device.
According to a Tweet from Angus Kai Ho Ng, Poco Global’s Product Marketing Manager and Spokesperson, Xiaomi plans to roll out MIUI 12 to the Poco F2 Pro later this month.
This is a long time coming seeing as Xiaomi already rolled out MIUI 12 to the Poco F2 Pro’s Chinese equivalent, the Redmi K30 Pro. More on that here.
Xiaomi is making a statement in the smartphone industry by just how efficiently it is handling the rollout of MIUI 12 to its eligible devices. We can only hope that more and more Android phone-makers strive to do the same for their devices because software is a huge part of any smartphone experience.
