More and more Xiaomi devices are getting updated to MIUI 12 in accordance with the company’s roadmap. We have a tracker dedicated to keeping track of this rollout and you can check it out here.

Today, the company is adding one more device to the ever-growing list of updated devices, the Poco F2 Pro. The Chinese variant of this device, the Redmi K30 Pro already bagged this much-awaited update sometime in June.

This new stable build of MIUI 12 is rolling out to the Poco F2 Pro in the EU and brings with it all the MIUI 12 goodies. The new changes are highlighted in the following extensive changelog.

MIUI 12 for Poco F2 Pro

This update of MIUI is rolling out to Poco F2 Pro devices that are currently running the very latest version of MIUI 11, V11.0.6.0.QJKEUXM. This build of MIUI 12 can be identified by its build number, V12.0.1.0.QJKEUXM and weighs in at a cool 1.1GB.

As mentioned, this build is for the European variant of the Poco F2 Pro. Users of the Global variant might have to wait a little longer for the official rollout to their devices.

This update will be rolling out to eligible devices in the coming days in form of an OTA. However, if you want to manually install this build on your device, here’s the download link.

Please make sure that you manually flash the correct firmware for your device as installing the wrong build could seriously damage your device.

Update 1 (August 13)

It appears that the Global MIUI 12 update for the Poco F2 Pro has messed with the Widevine L1 support on the device and has downgraded the security level to L3. The issue seems to exist only for the Global variants and not for European units. See the full story here.
