For anyone that has been in the jailbreak scene for a while, AppSync Unified is not an unfamiliar name. For the uninitiated, AppSync Unified is a jailbreak tweak to install unsigned, fakesigned, or ad-hoc signed IPA packages on a jailbroken iOS device.
In simple terms, this tweak allows you to install apps that Apple doesn’t exactly want to be installed on your iPhone by tricking iOS to think the app is legit and has been adequately signed.
AppSync Unified tweak does this by patching installd to allow for the installation of unsigned, fake signed apps. AppSync Unified is, therefore, very instrumental in running third-party apps and repositories like App Cake.
Needless to say, this tweak plays a very important role in the jailbreak community. Today, the app is being updated to version 74.0. This build brings a few improvements to the tool as outlined in the following changelog.
Changelog for 74.0
-Add support for iOS 13.4.1.
-Added some more third-party modified package IDs to the Conflicts blacklist.
-No other changes were made to AppSync Unified’s functionality or code
