Chinese smartphone giant, Xiaomi wants to leave no stones unturned in grabbing a greater chunk of the Android market share. The company is rapidly evolving its tech and adding more devices to its portfolio.

Moreover, in the software department, Xiaomi has also tried to revamp its custom UI to give its users a pleasant experience. On one hand, where Xiaomi is yet to call the rollout of Android 10 or MIUI 11 update, complete, the next iteration of its custom UI, i.e. the MIUI 12 has already started surfacing the internet.

It states that the first private beta of the MIUI 12 will go live in September, and in October the “Public” beta update will be released for some users. And finally, the official stable update will roll out in December.

Then we came up with a generic list of eligible devices that are expected to get the Android 11 (MIUI 12) updates. Amidst all of this, came in a report which highlighted that MIUI 12 is expected to bring system-wide dark mode, 16:9 ratio display compatibility, new GUI, and more.

And going by the recent development, as per a post shared on Weibo (Chinese equivalent of Twitter), Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro was spotted running Android 11 (MIUI 12).

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro was running, most likely the developer version of MIUI 12.20.4.7 based on Android 11 with the April security patch.

Matter of fact, as per one another post on Weibo, the internal testing for the MIUI 12 is slated to begin this month and some new functions like new MIUI camera, new system UI, phone ads optimization, new notification app, new gestures, etc. will be added with the MIUI 12.
