HMD Global owned, Nokia smartphone brand has been quick to push the Android 10 updates, as soon as it was launched. Moreover, the company was among those few OEMs, that came with a dedicated update roadmap to keep things clear.

More or less, Nokia has stuck to the update timeline and has delivered Android 10 updates to a bunch of its phones. Notably, the update has already arrived for the Nokia 7.2, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 9 PureView, and Nokia 8.1.

The company recently via a press release, confirmed that the Android 10 update will make its way to the Nokia 3.2 smartphone and so, it was delivered.

And if we go by the same press note released by HMD Global Germany, Nokia wants to tick one more device off the list of devices receiving the Android 10 update and will deliver the OS update to the Nokia 4.2.

As per the press note, the date for the Android 10 update for Nokia 4.2 is mentioned as April 9, 2020, which is today. Matter of fact, the reason to believe this date is that the date for Nokia 3.2 Android 10 update, i.e. April 7, rightfully coincides.

Besides, taking a deeper look at the press note, it reveals that the Nokia 4.2 will be getting features like the new gesture navigation, smart reply, improved privacy, focus mode, family link, etc. with the Android 10 update.

However, one thing our readers should note is that the press release does not mention the name of the specific market where the update will begin rolling out. And for that, we will keep our eyes on the lookout and update you, once something comes up to our table.

Indeed, the Nokia 4.2 Android 10 update is now up for grabs.

For a start, only 10% of Nokia 4.2 units sold in the following markets will receive the update today:

By April 12, the update should have hit 50% of all Nokia 4.2 units in these markets and 100% by April 14, so yeah, you may have to wait until next week before receiving your Android 10 update.
