Just to take enter into a competitive space with its rival Samsung, Huawei has also brought some new changes to its software department and recently came up with the EMUI 10.1 update.
It is similar to One UI 2.1, which is what Samsung is offering to its already updated Android 10 devices. This slightly enhanced version of the UI brings some additional features and enhancements for the devices running on Android 10.
In line with this, Huawei also came up with EMUI 10.1 that adds some more functionality to its Android 10 updated devices. The Chinese OEM has prepped well for this and earlier shared the roadmap for its eligible devices.
And if we go by the latest developments, Huawei is rolling out the EMUI 10.1 beta update for the Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X 4G, and Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design.
As per the roadmap, the recruitment for the Mate 20 series was already underway from March 31, 2020, and the company is on time in delivering the beta updates to its early adopters.
The OTA will be hitting the Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X 4G, and Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design units with the version number EMUI 10.1.0.117.
Readers should note that recently, the EMUI 10.1 update went live for the Huawei P30 and Mate 30 series phones.
Talking about the features, this new EMUI 10.1 will be bringing multi-window, multi-device control panel, multi-screen collaboration, Huawei MeeTime (video conferencing app), and Huawei’s very own voice assistant “Ceilia” for the eligible devices.
If you have not yet received the notification for this new update, then you can head over to Settings to check for the update manually.
