Checkra1n 0.9.9 experimental prerelease with iOS 13.4 support goes live

The jailbreak community has been relatively vibrant for many years now. For as long as there have been restrictions on iOS, users have been striving to bypass them and make their devices truly personal with tools like Checkra1n 0.9.9.

One of the most popular ways to achieve jailbreak has been by using Checkra1n. This tool is regularly updated and gains new features with each release. As such, it often supports even the very latest version of iOS.

Keeping with the same tradition of frequent and regular updates, the developer has just announced the new version of Checkra1n. The previous release, checkra1n version 0.9.8.1 brought with it support for Project Sandcastle and much more.

The new version, Checkra1n 0.9.9, is an experimental prerelease and while it might not be for everyone, it could shade some light onto what we should expect from the next stable release of Checkra1n.

This release brings experimental iOS 13.4 support. The developer adds that users should test this release on other firmware as well. Support for iOS 13.4 is activated by default. To get Checkra1n to run on 13.4, users need to tick the ‘allow untested iOS versions‘ checkbox in the options view.
