More and more devices continue to get updated to Android 10 by their respective manufacturers. Most of the eligible devices have already been updated with OEMs like OnePlus and Nokia whose take on Android is close to stock, presumed to be at the forefront.

Motorola has also been known for having builds that are a lot closer to Stock Android compared to other phone makers in the market today. It is therefore interesting that the company has not rolled out Android 10 to the Moto G7 Power yet.

Luckily for Moto G7 Power users, there are alternative ways to get Android 10 on their devices other than waiting for Motorola to develop, test and fix bugs before rolling out the update.

Popular after-market Android firmware maker, LineageOS (previously known as CyanogenMod) has just announced LineageOS 17.1 for the Motorola Moto G7 Power. This build brings Android 10 to the device, in all its glory.

However, this is still in an unofficial capacity as official builds of LineageOS 17.1 are still far from primetime. You can grab yourself a build of Android 10-based LineageOS 17.1 for your Motorola moto g7 Power here.

This LineageOS 17.1 will come as a breath of fresh air for the countless users of the Moto G7 Power who are growing increasingly frustrated with the delay of the new version of Android for their devices.

In fairness, however, Motorola has done a rather good job in terms of pushing out updates to its devices, including the Moto G7 Power. At the time of writing, the Motorola Moto G7 Power boasts of the latest, February 2020 security patch level.

It remains unclear when the Moto G7 Power will get updated to Android 10 officially. In the Moto G series of phones, the Moto G7 Plus has already received Android 10. However, Moto G6 Plus users are a little out of luck as recently, it came out that the device would not get updated to Android 10.
