Huawei was pretty quick in opening the beta registration program for the Mate 10 EMUI 10 update based on Android 10.

Both the Mate 10 and the Mate 10 Pro EMUI welcomed the beta update in the month of November itself. Within a month, the stable release arrived on these devices in the Chinese market. Following this, the expectations for the global release grew even further.

However, nearly two months passed by and still there was no concrete evidence of a wider rollout of the Huawei Mate 10 EMUI 10 update. In this regard, Huawei Germany pointed out on Twitter that the update is scheduled for the month of March 2020.

Here is what one of their representatives said earlier:

Hey BizzaroWorld, please do not believe in what is online. For the Mate 10 Pro, the update to Android 10 will also be rolled out, so you can expect that in March. Best regards, Tolga from HUAWEI Mobile.

However, it seems the same cannot be said for the Latin American users. March 2020 may not be the scheduled timeline for the Mate 10 EMUI 10 update based on Android 10 for these sets of users.

Evident from one of the Redditor’s discussions with the Huawei team, the update seems to have been pushed even further. This is what the Huawei support team for Latin America has to say:

Thank you for the shared data. Update for the team is already find list, is expected this being distributed during the third quarter this year.

This makes it pretty clear that the Android 10 update for Huawei Mate 10 for the Latin American region won’t be in sync with its German counterpart. It will only be able to see the lights anywhere between July to September of this year.

The device also got its first taste of Android Pie only at the end of July last year. And regarding the Android 10 update for this device, it seems this year might be no different as well, at least for the Latin American region.

With that said, the post will be regularly updated with the EMUI 10 update for Huawei Mate 10, as and when any news for the said region drops by.
