While Google has released the Android 11 (Android R) Developer Preview 1, Android 10 is still a hot topic. Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 users are also awaiting the Android 10 update which is yet to hit the units.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, is the company’s one of the most successful handsets that sold over a massive, 10 million units globally, in just 129 days since its launch.

However, keeping numbers aside, users of Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 are searching for Android 10 updates on Twitter, whether the update has arrived for the handset or not.

Being an Android 10 user myself for quite a while, I can understand their eagerness to try out new features included in Android 10.

Taking about Android 10 developments for this device, back in December 2019, we came up with a report, that the Chinese variant of the Redmi Note 7 was scheduled to get Android 10 updates, two or three months from December 2019.

And in line with this, recently, we have documented a post where Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 was spotted running Android 10 on a Geekbench listing.

While the users are waiting for the Android 10 update, the handset was again spotted on a Geekbench listing but, this time around, with Android 11 (Android R) OS.

Nothing much can be depicted from the above image, But there is something to smile about, as this hints that the Android 10 update might be right around the corner and the unit will be updated soon.

However, users should be well aware that, Geekbench listings can often be faked and everything related to it should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Whatever the case may be, we will keep our eyes open for this development and will update you once we have more information in this regard.

Update 1 (September 25)

The Redmi Note 7 isn’t eligible for the update to Android 11, however, thanks to third-party development, users now have a chance to experience the new Android version via the Android 11-based Weeb Projekt ROM for the device. To know more, head here.
