YouTube Vanced is one of the most popular mod applications of YouTube offering many desirable features, such as ad blocking, background playing and more. However, earlier today, several users started complaining about YouTube Vanced video thumbnails not showing up in search results.
Based on the number of complaints on Twitter and Reddit, the issue appeared to be quite widespread. A Twitter user said:
I wonder what’s going on with YouTube vanced, when I search for things the thumbnail doesn’t show up. Still better then watching ads tho ┐(‘~`;)┌ #youtubevanced
Surprisingly, after troubling users for a few hours, the YouTube Vanced video thumbnails issue seems to have automatically resolved now. Some users have confirmed the same as well.
I think YT vanced just fixed thumbnail problem by itself! What about others?
However, for some users, the issue of missing thumbnails from search results still exists, or some say the issue got fixed automatically, but reappeared after sometime. If you are also one of those still facing the issue, then there are a few users suggested workarounds that you can try.
One user suggested that if the original YouTube app is disabled, then you may face YouTube Vanced video thumbnails issue. To fix this, all you need to do is enable the YouTube app.
This only happens if you have original youtube app disabled, you can fix this just by re enabling the original app. Works good for me now
Another workaround that many say worked for them is updating all the Google-related apps. A few other workarounds that many say fixed the issue for them is using official Vanced site and installing Amoled theme.
Hopefully, the above workarounds should help you fix the issue of YouTube Vanced video thumbnails not showing up in search results. If not, then don’t worry, we will continue to update the article with any new update or development.
