New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on January 29, 2020) follows:

Users of the Pocophone F1 (sold as Poco F1 in India) were waiting for some more information about the next-gen Pocophone. The wait took a while, almost one and a half year.

There were some occasional leaks and rumors that a new Poco phone is in the works but, there was no concrete information regarding it. But, the month of January has been quite monumental for the fans who were eagerly waiting for the next-gen Pocophone.

After announcing POCO as a separate brand, a new teaser was launched about the ‘Season 2’ of the Pocophone. In fact, an easter egg was also spotted by various tech enthusiasts giving us a hint on what the next Poco phone will be called.

Later on, a new image surfaced the internet claiming to be of the Poco X2 with the ‘pheonixin’ ROM pre-installed. For naive, the Redmi K30 4G has the code name ‘phoenix’ and it is highly rumored that Poco X2 could be the rebranded Redmi K30 for India.

Users knew Poco X2 is on the cards, and earlier we have reported that the new Poco X2 will be launched on 4 February 2020. Moreover, the device is even expected to spot a 120Hz refresh rate display, a Qualcomm processor (not sure which one though, 730G maybe!), USB type C, and even a headphone jack.

Cut to now, in a recent development, new set of leaked images has surfaced the internet showcasing the Poco X2 in full glory. However, there is still no actual information regarding the SoC, so there is still doubt about the Redmi K30 rebranding theory.

You can check out the images below:

These images have been leaked by Techdroider on Twitter that confirms the POCO branding. Moreover, it also confirms that the smartphone will have a dual punch-hole display in the front.

Matter of fact, if you look closely in the second image, the version number (QGHINXM) does relate to the Redmi K30 adding fuel to this theory. Besides, another official image hints (after editing) that the Poco X2 might sport a dual or triple camera setup instead of 4 cameras in the Redmi K30.
