American tech giant Qualcomm has unveiled a trio of new budget chipsets built with the Indian market in mind. Dubbed Snapdragon 720G, Snapdragon 662, and Snapdragon 460, these chipsets are equipped with fast 4G speeds, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and so on.
The three are the first from the company to ship with baked-in support for the ISRO’s Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC) GPS system.
Even before the dust settles, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has already taken to Twitter to announce that the Snapdragon 720G will soon feature in one of their phones.
His tweet has since been backed by an official statement, which mentions that more details about this mysterious phone will be shared soon. In both the tweet and official announcement, Realme uses an image of an unreleased phone with a dual-lens selfie camera (check featured image).
Today, we’re very excited to announce that realme will become one of the first brands to launch smartphones powered by the latest Snapdragon 720G soon in our upcoming product series. Any more guesses? Well, please stay tuned as we will reveal more information.

The selfie camera is housed by a dual punch-hole in the display screen akin the Samsung Galaxy S10+, only that it sits on the opposite end. Interestingly, the official image shared by Realme resembles another image shared by YouTuber Arun Maini, popularly known as Mrwhosetheboss.
In his tweet, Arun is asking his Twitter followers to guess the phone maker of the phone he shared. The phone, as noted, has a dual punch-hole for the selfie camera and a speaker/earpiece grille at the top.
Holding an unreleased smartphone right now, with world’s FIRST 44MP Dual Punch-hole front camera… Can anyone guess from which company?

Apparently, this phone has a 44MP dual-lens selfie camera, the first of its kind on any smartphone ever. While its hard to tell whether this is indeed the upcoming Realme phone with Snapdragon 720G, some people have been able to link the device’s wallpaper to OPPO-affiliated phones.
Actually, now I’m certain it’s an Oppo device. I got the exact same wallpaper on Oppo Reno 3 Pro!

This is most definitely an Oppo/Color OS device, as it’s got the exact same layout and sidebar shortcut as my Oppo Reno 3 Pro. I hope it’s not the Find X2, but considering the release schedule I’ll say it is.

An Oppo or Realme device because of that Samsung Edge-Panel-like white area on the side as Oppo revealed this “unique” feature a few days ago.

Up to this point, it seems more like an OPPO/Realme smartphone, but again, nothing has been confirmed just yet, including the name of this phone.
Although the alleged Realme phone will be the first to ship with a dual punch-hole 44MP selfie camera, Realme already has another phone with a dual-lens selfie camera housed in a dual punch-hole – the Realme X50 5G.
Whether the upcoming Realme phone will come as an understudy to its 5G counterpart is still unknown, but it looks more likely to be the case. For now, though, this remains to be speculation, but not for long.
