OnePlus 8 Pro 120Hz display/screen refresh rate teased in a leaked photo

With a commendable year back in 2019, OnePlus is riding high, thanks to the wide success of the OnePlus 7 series devices. In fact, one of the most hyped features i.e. the high refresh rate display was also one of the key factors in the success of OnePlus last year.

Continuing in that front, OnePlus teased that the next-gen OnePlus device i.e. the OnePlus 8 will come with even a higher refresh rate of 120 Hz which is currently seen on gaming device Asus ROG Phone 2.

In a tweet, CEO Pete Lau confirmed and demonstrated the new OnePlus’ 120 Hz Fluid Display over the normal 60 Hz display (found on flagship Samsung Galaxy phones and others as well).

But, in a recent report from Tru Tech, a new image leaked by a source claiming to be working with OnePlus, reveals that the 120 Hz option is indeed going to make its way in the OnePlus 8 device.

Considering the rumors, leaks and the new 120 Hz display teased by the CEO itself, points that OnePlus 8 will definitely come with a 120 Hz display. Moreover, it would be the cheapest phone to spot a 120 Hz display, if the price remains close to the previous generation devices.

What is more interesting is that from the image above, one more thing is clear that, OnePlus might be heading to house a punch-hole display ditching the pop-up camera from its upcoming OnePlus phones.

Moreover, it is also evident that the resolution of the device does not drop down to 1080P when the 120 Hz refresh rate is enabled.

However, we cannot confirm anything until something concrete from the company comes up whether we will be getting the 120 Hz feature or not on the upcoming OnePlus phone.
