Original story (published on Jan 8) follows:

Xiaomi has already released the stable Android 10 to a handful of its devices, mostly in the high-end family of phones, among them the Mi 9, Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro, just to name but a few.

With that said, next in line are devices in the Redmi series. The latest in the popular budget lineup is the Redmi Note 8 family, out of which only the Note 8 Pro has picked up the update to Android 10 in beta.

In the older Redmi Note 7 family, Xiaomi started Android 10 closed beta program for the standard Note 7/Note 7S and Note 7 Pro in mid-December 2019.

The MIUI 11-based update that first brought Android 10 beta to the Redmi Note 7 came as version 9.12.16. After a long wait, the device is picking up another MIUI 11 beta update as version 20.1.7. This same version is also available for the Redmi Note 7S.

The base OS is still Android 10 beta, but this time you get an updated Android security patch for the month of January 2020, the latest patch level available today. But once again, this is the China ROM and being closed beta software, it’s still pretty much unstable.

It’s still unclear when Xiaomi will bring the Redmi Note 7 Android 10 update to the global scene. But since the global MIUI beta program was scrapped, we only wait for the release of the stable beta for global Mi Pilot testers. This could take a while.

As usual, we do have the download link for the latest Android 10 beta update for the Redmi Note 7/7S shared below for manual installation, but be sure you know your way around this whole ROM flashing thing.
