Xiaomi pumps millions of devices into the market every year, most of which come preinstalled with MIUI on top of Android. The company does a pretty decent job keeping them updated, but sometimes the wait for OTA updates can take ages.
At the beginning of 2019, Xiaomi had a couple of MIUI update channels – one specific to China and available in both Beta and Stable flavors and another dedicated to the global market, also with Beta and Stable versions. Beta ROMs got weekly updates while Stable ROMs got updates every two weeks.
By the time 2019 came to a conclusion, Xiaomi had scrapped the Beta flavor of its global MIUI ROM and instead replaced it with what it calls Mi Pilot testers program. Although the China Beta channel still lives on, Xiaomi no longer provides download links to the updates like it used to before.
On the brighter side, you can still get the links to download the latest MIUI 11 China Beta ROM for your specific Xiaomi device thanks to the Xiaomi Firmware Updater website developed by ysh-alsager.
This is the same website/tool that has been providing many Xiaomi fans with download links to various versions of MIUI updates, including the stable versions, ahead of OTA rollouts.
The same developer of the tool has created a variation of the website that pulls together all MIUI 11 China Beta ROMs for various Xiaomi devices for easy access. Since Xiaomi doesn’t provide them, they have been tapped from different sources on the web.
Note that beta ROMs are unstable, but usually, they have features that could take weeks to arrive in the stable channel.
