While OEMs are looking to push the latest December 2019 security patches for their devices as early as possible, there are still some devices that are still awaiting the November security patchset.

Though Xiaomi has a decent name when it comes to pushing of security or firmware updates, there are a few devices under its belt that have not yet received the November update let alone the December 2019 one.

However, the situation is gradually improving. One of the crowd pullers, i.e. Redmi Note 7 Pro, is getting the November security patchset along with some stability enhancements. Notably, the update is being pushed for the users in India.

For specs buff, the Redmi Note 7 Pro was unveiled in March 2019 and packs in some decent mid-ranger specs like Snapdragon 675 SoC, 4/6 GB of RAM, up to 128 GB of onboard storage and a sufficiently large 4,000 mAh battery.

In the camera department, you get a dual-camera setup with a 48 MP primary camera. The phone sports a 6.3-inch display and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.

Also, PiunikaWeb readers must remember that the device has already been served with the MIUI 11 update back in October that tagged along numerious improvements as well as October patch.

Unlike Redmi K20 Pro, MIUI 11 for Redmi Note 7 Pro didn’t bring Android 10. If the rumors are true, then it should be available soon via beta channel.

Now coming back to the latest update, it arrives with the version number V11.0.6.0.PFHINXM and weighs in around 639 MB in size for the OTA update. Below is the official changelog along with the screenshot of the update prompt shared by one of the users:
