OnePlus 8 Pro 5G (IN2010) certified by MIIT in China

OnePlus brought in if not the best, but one of the best smartphones of the year 2019 – OnePlus 7 Pro. After making major headlines throughout the year, the company is back with some more. The Shenzhen based OEM is now gearing up for the OnePlus 8 series slated to arrive next year.

Interestingly, OnePlus is going to bring not two but three variants of their upcoming lineup. Following the footsteps of other brands like Samsung, the series will include a Pro model and a budget conscious Lite variant besides the regular OnePlus 8.

In fact, all three variants of the 8th gen OnePlus i.e. OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 Lite have been leaked in the form of CAD renders via notorious leakster Steve H.McFly aka @OnLeaks.

Not long ago, we have posted a report regarding all the details including expected features, pricing, and specification of the OnePlus 8 series devices. 

And some more information is available regarding the 5G variant of OnePlus 8 Pro. According to several reports from Weibo, OnePlus 8 Pro 5G (internal model number IN2010) has been certified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), China.

Moreover, the device will support various frequency bands including n1, n41, n78, n79. You can check out other details of the certification for the OnePlus 8 Pro 5G in the below image:

FYI, the 5G variant of OnePlus 7T Pro is exclusive to T-Mobile at this moment. Do you think the upcoming phone from OnePlus should follow the same trend?

On the other hand, leakster Sudhanshu Ambhore has seconded the report as well.

With this piece of news, the launch of OnePlus 8 becomes more exciting. To recall, the OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to come with a 6.7-inch display with an increased refresh rate of 120Hz, Snapdragon 865 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of onboard storage.

The phone is expected to feature a massive 4,500 mAh battery with 50W Warp Charge. The 5G variant might also carry the same specs as mentioned above. However, these are nothing but speculations at this moment and we can’t confirm anything until something concrete or official comes up.
