Nokia was undeniably the uncrowned king of the pre-smartphone era. They were synonymous to handsets once. However, the choices the company made in terms of platform backfired them. Result? They had to live in exile for quite some time.
In the return, under the helm of HMD Global, they discarded the mistake by deciding to opt for Android. To tell the truth, the OS has grown to become something inevitable by then. In the second arrival, they are focusing more on the delivery of updates than on the specs, it seems.
In the last couple of months, Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 7.1, and Nokia 7 got Android 10 stable update among others. To put things into perspective, you should know that Samsung is still working on the same for their last year’s flagships.
Of course, there is still a row of devices waiting for their turns to get the major OS overhaul. Let’s take the case of Nokia 6.2. In case you remember, it grabbed December patch in the second week of the month. Guess what, currently circulating is another OTA with the same security version.

So yeah, from the perspective of a user, you may not find it beneficial to install the OTA update due the lack of features and bug fixes. Today itself, we could see the same thing happening to Nokia 7.2 as well.
The Finnish OEM published their Android 10 release roadmap in August itself. If you happen to be Nokia 6.2/7.2 user, you will find yourself in disappoint as the list contains none of them. But, let me tell you something to cheer you up.
In the first week of December, Pranav Shroff, General Manager, Global Portfolio & Product Planning at HMD Global has confirmed Android 10 for Nokia 6.2, 7.2 in Q1 2020. Chances are the latest build for these duo prepare the units to receive the upcoming major overhaul.
