Samsung Galaxy Note 9 fourth One UI 2.0 beta goes live, stable Android 10 on the horizon

Samsung’s smartphone division is quite busy with software updates. It’s only today that they have rolled out second One UI 2.0 beta update for US unlocked Galaxy S9. Moreover, the same found its way to Note 9 Snapdragon version as well.

If you have been using a Samsung device for quite some time, you know they were jumping from Touchwiz to Samsung Experience and finally to One UI. For the customers, One UI is offering something its predecessors couldn’t. Better user experience!

One UI debuted with Android 9 Pie as the base platform. And, the second iteration, as you can guess is rooted on Android 10. However, Samsung hasn’t delivered it to all their devices except for the latest flagships.

Note 9 and S9, which hit the market last year, as you saw in the beginning, didn’t get the stable build. The OEM is regularly releasing beta versions, so that they can release the final edition with minimal bugs. Guess what? Today, we have got our eyes on the fourth update for US unlocked Note 9.

Just like what you saw with the previous iteration, this one also carries December patch, but with a single entry in the changelog. The OCR bug that had hampered the S Pen from translating has now seems to have fixed.

You can see the update announcement on the official Korean community. And, people have confirmed on different platforms like XDA and Reddit that they received the new build. Bear in mind, we are talking about Galaxy Note 9 Exynos variant here.

Obviously, we are nearing the public release right now. Provided other manufacturers like OnePlus have already brought Android 10 stable update to their previous year’s flagships, we don’t think Samsung will delay anymore.
