There are new updates that have been added to the bottom of the story…
Original story follows
Just yesterday, Facebook went down for sometime, and now, we’re seeing reports that Yahoo servers – which means in fact, many of its services – are down for a large number of users. Users, specifically those of Yahoo Mail, are taking to social media to reports that the service is not working.
Take a look at some reports:

For it’s part, Yahoo Customer Care on Twitter has said they are aware of the problem, noting that this could be due to ISP issues. Affected users are being suggested to wait for sometime.
Hello Joseph! We are aware of this and it appears to be caused by ISP issues. I recommend waiting a bit until the issue is resolved. -AI

We’re keeping a close tab on the situation, and will let you know as and when Yahoo servers are back or there is any news worthy development.
Update (December 06, 2018)
While there is currently no update on outage, it has come to light that Yahoo is shutting down its Classic Mail service. Details here.
Update 1 (September 05, 2019)
Yahoo mail servers are reportedly down again. A lot of users are complaining about this outage on social media platforms like Twitter. See here.
We are also seeing unverified reports that say properties like Yahoo Sports, Yahoo News, and more are also affected by this outage.
Update 2 (September 05, 2019)
Someone on Reddit just said this:
There’s a global Yahoo outage going on right now that fantasy got caught up in. We’re working to get this back up ASAP
Unfortunately not at this time — our fantasy engineers are working with the rest of Yahoo engineering to get a fix in. It seems like all of Yahoo’s products are down at the moment
From the statement, it appears this person is a Yahoo staff member, but there is nothing through which we can verify this at the moment.
Update 3 (September 05, 2019)
Yahoo customer care on Twitter has acknowledged the issue saying they are working to fix it.
We do apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Rest assured we are working hard to find a solution as soon as possible
See here.
Update 4 (September 05, 2019)
According to the Redditor whom we referred to earlier in this story, situation is slowly coming back to normal. Here’s what exactly they said:
Looks like things are slowly coming back online. Might be a little longer to be 100% back to normal
Update 5 (Dec 04, 2019)
Going by the latest reports proliferating across Twitter, Yahoo mail is down for many as of writing this. Here’s what some of the complainants have to say:
@yahoomail @YahooCare
my yahoo email account will not load emails on my iPhone via Yahoo email application when away from WiFi. I have AT&T as my cell provider. Is there an issue currently? Thank you very much.
