Reno and Reno 10x Zoom are two of the camera-centric smartphones launched earlier this year OPPO. Talking about the camera, OPPO Reno packs in a dual (48+5 MP) camera setup while the Reno 10X packs in a triple (48+13+8 MP) camera setup.

Both the devices have a shark fin front camera that houses a 16 MP front camera. And if you were waiting for the ColorOS 7 update on your Reno/Reno 10x Zoom then, this piece of news might excite you as OPPO has started rolling out the trial of ColorOS 7 for both the devices.

Note that this trial version program is limited to 5,000 users. So, if you want to taste the ColorOS 7 based on Android 10 on your Reno/Reno 10x Zoom then, you need to quickly enroll yourself. Let us take a look at the announcement and the detail for both the devices, one by one.

OPPO Reno

[Smart Sidebar]
• Optimized user interfaces and improved one-handed operation.
• Optimized the Smart Sidebar: Replaced File Console with File Manager and removed No Notification Alerts.
• Drag an app out of Smart Sidebar to open it in Split-screen mode.
• Added two settings: Assistive Ball Opacity and Hide Assistive Ball on Fullscreen App.
• Optimized the Floating Window feature for more apps.
• Added a bubble: A bubble is displayed when you open an app in a floating window from the Smart Sidebar. Tap the bubble to collapse and open the app.

[Screenshot]
• Optimized 3-Finger Screenshot: Use 3 fingers to touch and hold the screen and swipe your fingers to adjust the screenshot size. Use 3 fingers to touch and hold the screen and swipe your fingers outwards to capture a long screenshot.
• Added screenshot settings: You can adjust the position of the screenshot preview floating window and set the screenshot sound.
• Optimized screenshot preview floating window: After taking a screenshot, drag it up and release to share it, or drag it down and release to take a long screenshot.

• New gesture: Swipe inward from both sides of the screen and then hold to switch to the previous app.
• Optimized gestures: All gestures are supported in landscape mode.

• Added Dark Mode: Protects your eyes while reducing power consumption.

• Added all new charging animation.

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom

If you are the user of OPPO Reno 10x Zoom then you must be running the latest version i.e. either A.14 or A.13 in order to eligible to enroll for this ColorOS 7 trial update.

Application method

The application method for this trial update for both OPPO Reno and Reno 10x Zoom is the same. Follow the below steps to get yourself enrolled for experiencing ColorOS 7 based on Android 10 on your device.

1. Make sure that you running the latest versions on your OPPO Reno or Reno 10x Zoom smartphone.
2. Go to “Settings>> Software Updates“, tap the settings icon in the upper right corner, tap “Trial Version“, fill in the information, select the must-know checkbox, and tap “Apply Now“

Moreover, a couple of days back, we have reported that OPPO announced the ColorOS 7 global roadmap. Those who were able to enroll themselves have started receiving the update.
