Google and Apple released the latest versions (public builds) of their operating systems in September this year. However, both the tech giants couldn’t captivate the gadget enthusiasts with their iterations. Be it iOS 13 or Android 10, the rise of bugs wasn’t an isolated incident.
As for iOS 13, we could spot Apple Watch voice memo sync issue, Fitbit notifications glitch, Siri speakerphone call problem, Personal Hotspot connection bug, and duplicate sent items on Mail app. Guess what! Android 10 is on par with iOS 13 here.
Google’s own Pixel 4 (XL) started exhibiting issues after Android 10 update. Take deep sleep bug, camera clicking trouble, green screen issues, and dead sensor problem for examples. Now, here comes another concerning affair related to the same device.
Soli Motion Sense stopped working in Youtube after November Software Update!!
I just updated my Pixel 4XL to Google’s November Update and suddenly the Motion Sense gestures stopped working in the Youtube Video app. It’s working in the Youtube Music and Spotify apps, but somehow doesn’t even show up in the Youtube video app. It was working fine before the update.
Similar issue on Pixel 4 as well. Anyone else facing the issue and knows of any fix to this?

In case you are a Pixel 4 user, you know Motion Sense helps you control the device through gestures in the air without actually touching it. The feature used to work on YouTube. But going by the above post, it doesn’t now.
Not only Reddit and Twitter, we could also find out a complaint on the official Google support forum. The upvotes and responses under those entries indicate the issue isn’t an isolated one that affected one or two units.
