Latest ZenFone 6 update fixes Asus Launcher & Settings bug, improves fingerprint unlock (Download link inside)

Asus released Android 10 update to the ZenFone 6 earlier this month. The company had been testing the OS for weeks before dishing it out to one of its best-ever smartphones yet.

The update wasn’t the most perfect out there despite the long wait. Early adopters have had to deal with several issues, but the most annoying of them all must be the one that trips Google Play Protect and Google Pay.

Shortly after rolling out the ZenFone 6 Android 10 update, Asus pushed a bug-fixing update to improve the sound quality and optimize the mechanism of system update. The update arrived as version 17.1810.1910.63.

Today, Asus is rolling out another bug-fixing update to the ZenFone 6. Arriving as version 17.1810.1910.73, the update is targeting variants of the device with the global firmware (WW) and model number ZS630KL.

As for what the new update brings, the company mentions addressing the issue where ASUS Launcher and Settings sometimes fail to work as expected. The update also improves the reliability of the fingerprint scanner as a biometric authentication method on the ZenFone 6.
