New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
If you carefully look at the current Android 10 update scenario, you should notice that only a handful of mid-rangers got the major version upgrade. Most of the recipients are powered by flagship grade Qualcomm 8 series SoCs, except Huawei P30/P30 Pro.
Apart from Snapdragon 670-laden Google Pixel 3a (XL), Nokia 8.1 is the only phone having Snapdragon 710 SoC with official Android 10 update till date. There were some rumors about Mi A3 as well as Mi A2 Lite getting the OTA in October, but it did not materialize.
Interestingly, the regular Mi A2 received a second iteration of the Pie based October patch at the beginning of November. The actual reason behind this revised build was not declared, but the community faced multiple issues with the initial update.
Nonetheless, November patch is now rolling out for the phone.
And no, this is *not* the Android 10 update you guys are looking for! The size of the incremental OTA package should be sufficient to deduce the fact. Apparently the ~94 MB update is applicable for the users having older October patch (V10.0.15.0.PDIMIXM).
Those having the newer October build (V10.0.16.0.PDIMIXM), however, are getting slightly smaller (around 88 MB) OTA update. The internal version number of the current build with November patch is V10.0.17.0.PDIMIXM, which is yet another step closer to the Android 10 update.
