Galaxy Note 10 getting another November build (ASK1) with more fingerprint improvements

It’s nothing unusual for a device to receive multiple software updates in quick succession. If a critical bug is discovered in a software update that has just been released, a new build can be pushed shortly after to address this issue before it escalates.

This is what recently happened with the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+, only that the successive update also included a new feature. The device picked up its November patch late last month, with the rollout beginning in Switzerland before spreading to the U.S. and other regions.

A week later, the Swiss variant received another November build that introduced Samsung Cloud and Microsoft OneDrive integration, improved performance of Bixby and further improvements to the fingerprint recognition algorithm.

While this update (build ASJM) has so far been spotted in other regions across Europe, Nordic countries, the Baltic, the Philippines, and India, among others, not every market where the Exynos-powered Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ are sold have picked up this very version.

Furthermore, Samsung is now rolling out a second Galaxy Note 10 November build to the regions that missed out on build ASJM as version N970FXXU1ASK1. Owners of the Note 10+ are receiving this same update as version N975FXXU1ASK1. The initial November patch for the duo had build number ASJG, just like other Exynos units.

Unlike the second November build that rolled out as build ASJM, the incoming build ASK1 has a brief changelog that only mentions the improvements to the fingerprint recognition algorithm and security of the Note 10 and Note 10+.

No mention of the OneDrive integration that came as part of the ASJM build, which is kinda surprising, but not unusual. It’s likely that these units will get this feature in a future update.

Samsung is also expected to release the One UI 2.0 stable update to the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ in the coming weeks, although the Android 10-based update will first hit the Galaxy S10 units.
