iPhone X gestures coming to older devices running iOS 13 as jailbreak tweak

Apple is usually late to implement a feature on their devices (dual camera, fingerprint sensor, wireless charging, etc.). By the time they introduce a new attribute, almost all the other companies already have it.

Nonetheless, gesture navigation was an exception! Apple debuted with this feature in 2017 on iPhone X by omitting the software button. Fast forward to today, other OEMs (even Google) joined the bandwagon to offer gesture-based navigation mechanism.

Owing to the presence of physical keys, the models prior to iPhone X don’t have gesture navigation. From a brand’s perspective, it’s a redundant feature. But, what if you want it as an end user? Well, provided that you have a jailbroken handset, you can have it.

There are many tweaks available including HomeGesture Lite and GesturesXS. The latter is a refined version of the former, which is available on Packix. You can read the features of GesturesXS below (published on Reddit before 7 months).

Apple released iOS 13 in September and a few incremental upgrades after that. And, it has affected many tweaks. A frustrated developer announced on Twitter that he’s going to make an alternative to GesturesXS for all devices running iOS 13.

When he shared the same tweet on Reddit, the developer of GesturesXS has invited him to collaborate for the development of another tweak named LittleXS (for the same purpose). Looking at the comment section, we perceive they both are going to work together.

On a side note, a beta version of LittleXS for iOS 13 went live yesterday. Even though it came out with a handful of bugfixes, there are many yet to be solved. You can have a look at the major issues from the list given below.
