Huawei has quite an eventful year where it fell prey to trade bans by the US government following which Google also stopped providing its services to the company.
Amidst all of this, the company brought in its first foldable device, the Huawei Mate X, and recently launched the most awaited Mate 30 series. Moreover, the Mate 30 series uses Huawei Services Core which means that the devices do not come with Google apps and services pre-installed.
Notably, the company is pretty busy preparing the latest EMUI 10 updates for its devices which is based on Android 10. The Chinese smartphone giant recently shared a new timeline for the EMUI 10 rollout.
Cut to now, Huawei has pushed in new security updates for two of its devices namely P20 Lite and Mate 20 X. Note that the former gets September security patch while the latter is served with the patchset from October.
Let us take a look at the updates received on the devices, one by one:

Now coming to the latest security update, it is purely incremental in nature and bumps the security patch level to October 2019. It carries version number 9.1.0.347 and weighs in about 149 MB in size for the OTA update.
