U.S. unlocked Galaxy Note 10 picks up another October security update with camera & keyboard improvements

U.S. unlocked Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ are the only Note devices allowed into the One UI 2.0 beta program for folks in America. This is unlike the Galaxy S10 series where carrier variants are also participating in testing the Android 10-based update ahead of official availability.

It’s unclear what inspired this decision, but what is obvious is that many are looking forward to the release of the stable One UI 2.0 update for these devices and others.

It took Samsung less than two months to test Android Pie and begin the official rollout. Granted, we are looking at a similar window for the One UI 2.0 update. Until then, though, non-beta testers can make do with updates that bring bug fixes, performance improvements, and/or new security patches.

The Exynos variants of the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ have already been updated to the latest November security patch.

Given that the U.S. unlocked Galaxy Note 10 got the October security update sometime back, one would expect that any new update at this point bundles the latest November security patch.

But no, the incoming update on these models doesn’t bump up the security patch level, but it tags along some improvements to the camera picture quality and stability of the keyboard sound while sticking to the same October patch level.

The security of your device has been improved.

The OTA update weighs in at 322.59MB on the Note 10+ and comes carrying software version N975U1UEU1ASJ3 while the standard Note 10 has software version N970U1UEU1ASJ3. The update is available on all U.S. unlocked models regardless of the SIM inside.
