At the time of writing this post, we are in the last day of an eventful October month. A lot of OEMs have already pushed the October security patches for the devices on their portfolio while some are still waiting for it.
Moreover, there are smartphone brands that have already pushed the November 2019 security update for its devices (like Samsung). But, in a recent turn of events, Verizon has pushed in the October security patch for LG V50 ThinQ 5G, Nokia 3 V, and Moto E6 units.
We all know the importance of security updates and OEMs have also become pretty serious about pushing timely security updates for their units. The October patch fixes a lot of severe vulnerabilities for the Android devices.
All the updates are purely incremental in nature and do not bring along anything new for the devices except the October patch. Let us take a look at the updates one by one.
LG V50 ThinQ 5G
Verizon has pushed a new update for the LG V50 ThinQ 5G variant that was launched in May 2019. To recall, the device packs in Snapdragon 855 with 6 GB of RAM and 4,000 mAh battery.
Now, talking about the update, it carries the version number G450VM10h and bumps the security level to October 1, 2019 from August. Below is the changelog and the screenshot of the same:

If you have not received the update notification then, you can manually check for it by heading to Settings>>About phone>>Update center>>System update>>Check for update.
Nokia 3 V
Nokia came up with the 3 V in August 2019 which is a rebranded version of the Nokia 3.2 exclusively for big red wireless carrier. It packs in Snapdragon 429 processor, paired with 2 GB RAM and offers 16 GB of internal storage.
The new update carries version number 00VZW_1_35D. Below is the official changelog and the screenshot of the update received on the Nokia 3 V.

FYI, the Nokia 2 V, which is the rebranded version of the Nokia 2.1, got the October 2019 update earlier. Moreover, the latter is going to upgrade to Android 10 in Q2 2020.
Moto E6
The last of the three devices that got the October update by Verizon is the Moto E6 from Lenovo-backed Motorola. This is the second system update for the phone as it got its first update in September that brought in the August security patch.
Moreover, the October update was announced by Motorola at the beginning of this month. The system update 2 for Moto E6 carries version number PCBS29.73-81-2.

To check for the update manually on your Moto E6, head to Settings>>About Phone>>System Updates. If there is a new update notification tap on it to install.
