New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on October 25, 2019) follows:
MIUI 11 update rollout is what Xiaomi is now gearing up for. Note that quite a few Xiaomi devices have already received the MIUI 11 update. Moreover, the company has also shared very recently the roadmap for MIUI 11 rollout for global and Indian units.
Talking about MIUI 11, it brings in a lot of new features and enhancements for the smartphones like design changes to UI, new AOD (Always On Display), Mi Share, Digital Wellbeing, Mi Work, ultra power saving mode and the list goes on.
Earlier today, we have reported that the Mi 6 and Mi MIX 2 has also received the MIUI 11 based update, albeit in China. And now, another device i.e. Redmi 7 joins the list of devices that have been served with the MIUI 11 update in Europe.
Matter of fact, taking a look at the rollout timetable, Redmi 7 was slated to receive the update between October 22 to October 31. So, this update seems right on time for the device.
To recall, Redmi 7 was launched in March 2019 and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC. The entry-level phone is quite a brilliant performer in the budget category. Moreover, you get a dual 12 MP+2 MP camera setup at the back.
Under the hood, the device packs in a 4,000 mAh battery and sports a 6.26-inch HD+ notched display. It comes with 16/32/64 GB of internal storage options.
Coming back to the MIUI 11 update, it carries the version number V11.0.3.0.PFLEUXM and weighs in around 1.7 GB in size. However, the build is still based on Android 9 Pie. Below is the official changelog for the update along with the OTA screenshot:
