A couple of weeks ago, Xiaomi started rolling out the stable version of Android 9 Pie to the original Black Shark that came out in April 2018 running Android Oreo out of the box.
With the update to Pie, the Black Shark gained new stuff such as Screen Recorder, Face Unlock, and a new version of SharkSpace and GamerStudio. Using the updated GameStudio, gamers on Black Shark can customize their performance, audio, touch, display, and even network preferences.
Besides the new features, the Pie-based update also bundled a newer Android security patch dated August 2019. As of this writing, this same security patch is now rolling out to the latest Xiaomi Black Shark 2 as version SKYW19091920S01MP4 or SKYW1909192OS00MP4.
Black Shark says in a forum post the different software versions provided are necessary since the device is optimized/packaged differently based on the regions it is sold in.
Since we have made special optimization for the global version package in different regions, this time it is has to be divided into two versions of push, if you receive different version upgrades, please do not worried, (we will unify the next version to the same version number push)

According to Black Shark, those whose Black Shark 2 units currently have software version SKYW1907040OS01MP3 installed will receive an OTA update to version SKYW1909192OS01MP4.
If you have version SKYW1907031OS00MP3 installed, the new update is arriving on your Shark 2 as version SKYW1909192OS00MP4. But even with the different software versions, the changelog is the same in both cases.
