Samsung brought in the revamped Galaxy A-series of smartphones with new innovative designs like the Galaxy A80’s rotating camera module, along with powerful specs.
This year, the company was quite busy with the launch of its flagships – the S10 series, and the Note 10 series. Moreover, the company also brought in its first foldable device, the Galaxy Fold which costs around USD 2000. However, the device also saw some issues creep up just before it went on for sale.
Android 10 OS has been officially launched, and like all other major OEMs, Samsung is also trying to bring the latest Android 10 experience to its compatible devices soon. At the same time, the company is also trying to update many of its older generation smartphones with either latest security updates.
Besides, Samsung has also been one of the top brands under the Android version share for the top 10 manufacturers for the Q3 2018-Q2 2019 category according to a report by Counterpoint Research. Almost 89% of Samsung smartphones are running the Android 9 Pie.
Cut to now. The Galaxy A20e which was released on May 2019, has started receiving the October 2019 security update. Note that the update is currently been rolled out in Germany. As for the latest October OTA, other devices like Galaxy S10 5G, A30, and A50 have already received the patch.
The October update on A20e carries the version number A202FXXS2ASI3. FYI, the official software update page of the device hasn’t been updated yet, and does not reflect the October update and till now.
While the OTA may take time to reach all devices, you can go ahead and download the update package from the link below and sideload the update manually on your Galaxy A20e smartphone. Below are the details as well as the download link to the update package:

With this new update, the security patch level on the Galaxy A20e device bumps up to October from July. You can check out for the update notification by heading to Settings>>Software Update>>Download and Install. If the notification is available, you can tap on it to download.
