Original story (from Sept 25) follows:

Asus ZenFone 6 is one of the most innovative smartphones released in 2019. This is despite the market having plenty of unique designs like the Oppo Reno series and Samsung Galaxy A80. However, owners of this device have also had to deal with quite a good number of annoying issues.

One of the biggest must have been one that crippled the motherboard, forcing owners of affected units to ship them back to Asus for replacement units. The issue was brought about by a software update pushed in late July, but no software update could fix it.

Other ZenFone 6 issues that have also popped up in recent times include call quality issues, issues with the flipping camera, and the screen flickering issue when the display brightness is set to its lowest.

Just yesterday, we published an article about Asus’ promise to release a software update that fixes the screen flickering issue. Little did we know the update was ready and waiting for someone to flip the switch on.

As of this writing, a new Asus ZenFone 6 September update is already rolling out to those using the device outside India. The software in question is for devices with WW, EU, RU, or JP SKUs and not IN SKU, which usually denotes India.

Yes, the incoming ZenFone 6 September update isn’t meant for the Indian Asus 6z, but we hope the 6z will join the party in the coming days.
