Xiaomi is a popular brand name globally, especially in India. With its great range of smartphones, covering the entire segments, it has built such a strong portfolio that, it has come at par with the likes of Samsung and Huawei.

And recently with its ever-growing portfolio, according to a report by Canalys, Xiaomi remains on top in terms of shipment by brands in India. It shipped over 10.3 million smartphones in the Q2 of 2019.

Moreover, recently Xiaomi has rolled out the MIUI 11 Beta for the supported Xiaomi devices. Some of the prominent features that the MIUI 11 based devices will receive are optimized and new UI, new fonts, ambient display, Mi share, casting, printing, Ultra battery saver, etc. This is a nice move considering other competitors are already in line for the Android 10 update.

Also, talking about rolling out updates for all of its smartphones, Xiaomi was placed in the 3rd spot under the Android version share for top 10 manufacturers for Q3 2018-Q2 2019 category by Counterpoint Research. A total of 84% smartphones sold after Q3 2018 is now running on the Android 9 Pie OS.

This type of performance is really a great booster for any smartphone company and it helps them to serve its users in a more better way. Now, in a recent development, Xiaomi has rolled out a new update for the Mi 9 SE smartphone for the Global, EU and Russian variants.

The latest update bumps the security update to August 2019, which is quite surprising as we are almost at the verge of the completion of September. However, as they say, better late than never, the update does not seem to bring anything new apart from the security patch.
