Niantic has revealed a few new details for the upcoming ‘Day of the Dragons event’. Wizards Unite, global players will witness the dragons for the first time under this event. Earlier, Niantic organized the Wizards Unite fan-festival on August 31 and September 1 which introduced the dragons to ‘Wizards Unite’ game for the first time but only for players who attended the festival.
The dragons which will spawn at different locations on September 07 were dependent on the Global Challenge of collecting dragon eggs. Last weekend, players all around the world took part in the Global challenge, which required players to collect Dragon Eggs.
Under this challenge, players encountered a new type of Portekey Portmanteaus which transports players to the forbidden forest, where players had the opportunity to collect one of four Dragon Eggs. Collecting a certain number of Dragon Eggs unlocked special rewards for players.
The spawning of the dragon was based on the type of Dragon Egg which players have collected more across their region. Niantic has now calculated the number of eggs that have been collected by players and revealed the name of dragons which will visit the different locations.
